General Information

The Hanford Cow Run will take place on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020. This race is excellent for beginners and experience runners nabbing a personal best. Runners or walkers who sign up for the race should have the chance to record excellent times, as the course is primarily flat.

Location

The Half Marathon and 5k race share a start/finish line on N. Mustang Drive across from Frontier Elementary School (1854 N Mustang Dr, Hanford, CA 93230). Runners and walkers will commence at the same time. On race day you may park on the surrounding streets, however, do not park anywhere along the race course. 

Start Times

Half Marathon starts at 8:00 am

5K starts at 8:05 am

Finish Time

A finishing time limit of 4 hours will be enforced and the course will be cleared by 12:00 pm.

Bib Pickup

We recommend that you pick up your bib on Sat, if you are closer to Hanford, you will save time on race morning and ensure you’re ready to start the race at 8:00 am. Photo ID is required to pick up your race packet. Packets will NOT be mailed to participants. If you are picking up a packet on behalf of someone else you must have a written permission note from the participant or email confirmation along with a copy of their photo ID.  You may also pick up your packet on race day between 6:00 - 7:00 am at the check-in booth. Do not be late!

Race Policies

  1. A finishing time limit of 4 hours will be enforced. You may finish your race after 4 hour time cap, however you will be directed to walk/run on dirt /side-walk of the road.

  2. Entry is limited to those ages 5+ for the 5k and 13+ for the Half marathon. It is strongly recommended that a parent or guardian run/walk along with inexperienced minors throughout the race.

  3. Restrictions apply to participants with wheelchairs and baby joggers. See FAQ. 

  4. Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates and roller blades are prohibited.

  5. Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable and/or rollover. Due to liability issues, transferring of bibs is prohibited.

  6. No pets will be allowed anywhere at the race (start line, finishers Cow-Fest or along the course).

Awards

The awards ceremony will occur in phases for the fast finishers and continuing throughout the finish Cow-fest as results for each age category are available. All finishers receive a medal.

 

 

Overall: Top 1st, 2nd & 3rd male & female in the Half Marathon & 5K 

Age Groups: Awards will be presented in the following age groups in the Half Marathon ONLY: 12-19 / 20-24 / 25-29 / 30-34 / 35-39 / 40-44 / 45-49 / 50-54 / 55-59 / 60-64 / 65-69 / 70-74 / 75+.
